Asher Roth recently talked about his plans to drop his sophomore album, to give people, what he calls “feelings” again.According to Asher Roth, he wants to drop his 2nd album on his birthday this summer. “There’s no album title yet,” he revealed in an interview. “I talked to everybody I wanted to get on the album. I shared my vision with them. You want to meet them halfway. Yes, you want them to come into your world as well, but you want to make sure that they’re still stamping it with them. You don’t want to leave their comfort zone. All the producers that are going to be on the album, I’ve sat down with in their living room before we got into the whole music making thing.”

“That’s super important to any artist. It makes the creation process so much easier. The sound is going to give people feelings again. I’m through with listening to music with no intestines, no gut. I want to make that dope sh*t that people can feel. That’s all the direction is. Ideally I’d like to release it on my birthday, which is August 11. That would be great, but I believe that’s a Wednesday and they try to stick to Tuesdays. But my first album released on a Monday.”

Here’s some good news! turns out Lil Wayne’s “Rebirth” isn’t being pushed back to June & is now according to HDD dropping on February 2.

Fishbowl, the WPF based Facebook client developed by uxlabs@Microsoft has been updated with a couple of new changes and features. It gets a Facebook chat client, which is basically the chat widget running in a separate window although the online status of your friends is shown in a Facebook chat like bar in the app now.

The performance of the app has improved as well. It consumes lesser memory now and is easier on the CPU. Settings, notifications, inbox and online status of friends are now shown on a bar at the bottom of the app.

The rest of the functionality hasn’t changed much, but the improved performance makes it a whole lot more useable than it was before. I just might start using it regularly instead of the Facebook website if it can now implement support for Pages and Groups natively instead of loading them up in the in-app browser.

For those concerned, the latest version is 1.1.0.205

Nas’ song “Legendary” from Tyson, the Mike Tyson documentary, could possibly be up for an Academy Award next year.

According to Vibe.com, early next year the Academy will begin to screen about 63 songs for the category of Best Original Song. Nominees for the category will not be revealed until February 2, 2010.

Nas‘ “Legendary” will be up against a number of worthy contenders including “Colorblind” (Invictus), “Cinema Italiano” (Nine), “Almost There” (The Princess And The Frog), and over 50 other songs.

Nas has yet to comment on the possibility of receiving an Academy Award nomination.

Released earlier this year, Tyson is a documentary that takes a deep look into the life of former undisputed heavy weight champion of the world boxer Mike Tyson. The film has received rave reviews and even won the Regard Knockout Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

Last May, CNN Money estimated that due to inflation, that $6 million surgery would cost slightly over $26 million. But obviously the surgery in the original TV show wasn’t quite medically accurate, and creating those bionic parts from scratch would actually cost somewhere between $50 and 100 million today—although after one successful prototype is completed, it could cost far less.

Baby says not only is the one-year bid Weezy will have to do be the first time the two artists were forced apart from eachother, but fans will never even notice Lil Wayne is gone. “We got a h*ll of a plan and h*ll of a strategy,” Baby revealed in an interview. “I promise you, you’ll think he never left the streets. It ain’t much about the music at this point with my son, like f*ck the music…We got to go through something family-wise, that the fans and nobody else will ever have to go through. This is the first time I will ever be without my child that means the world to me. This is where blood stick together.”

In related news, Young Money’s President (Lil Wayne’s label under Cash Money) Mack Maine recently spoke about Weezy doing time, only Maine was more focussed on future releases than anything. “My main focus and priority right now [is the] Young Money album December 15,”Mack Maine said before adding album info from Lil Wayne and others “Rebirth, December 15.Baby album, November. 23. That’s the main s**t. Jay Sean, November 23 too. So that’s what I’m worried about right now.”
