One of Hip Hop’s more active Native Tongues affiliates is Black Sheep. Since their gold-selling 1991 LP A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing, Dres and on-again, off-again partner Mista Lawnge have released albums and EPs through to 2006’s 8WM/Novakane. The same month their biggest hit, “The Choice Is Yours” was incorporated into the recent Young Dro video for “I Don’t Know Y’all,” Dres has announced that he’ll be releasing From The Black Pool Of Genius: The Prelude December 1.
